Shawback Design started the New Year with a new home. They moved into 2325 First St. Napa, a one-story industrial warehouse built in 1960 that, at 6,374 SF, can house their design business and manufacturing for their bicoastal lighting partnership, Brightbound.

Shawback Design always looks for talented artisans to partner with on their projects. In addition to their local and national resources, they added international resources when principals Damon Savoia and Julie Savoia traveled to Portugal last spring.

An organic round-shaped glass pendant from Brightbound dialogs with the over-scaled floral and foliate wallcovering in this powder room. The ethereal light fixture comprised of hand-blown glass, lathe-turned wood caps, with studio-machined metal components, represents a partnership between the West and East Coasts, along with the collaboration of a design studio and furniture manufacturer.
